9-Oct-13 This archive contains the DOS/Windows 3.x utility 'Tapedisk,' from Improved Storage Technologies. It has the capability of treating any standard SCSI tape drive as a disk, in terms of read/write. It also contains a backup function which can allow you to image an entire hard drive, bit-for-bit. I found this package NOS (New/Old Stock) at a Bay Area electronic surplus place. It's version 6.2.2, released 11-Jan-95, and the installation serial number is 750440536137. To use, simply extract the contents to a 3.5" floppy, or directly to your hard drive, and run 'setup.exe' (minus the quotes, of course). This particular box was a combo package. It also contains the programs 'Window Washer' and 'Full Shield.' The former, as I recall, was a type of cleanup utility for unused files and such within Windows 3.x, while the latter appears to be an antivirus program. Although Full Shield was originally created by Micah Development, the naming of some of its files makes me wonder if it might be a predecessor to ThunderByte Antivirus.
