TECHNICAL BULLETIN #153 - Rev 1.11 (2/7/97)

==============================================================================
TITLE : Using Q/FAX
PRODUCT : All Products
==============================================================================

Q/FAX is a service that gives you access to a large library of product
literature and technical bulletins 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can
receive up to a total of seven documents per session.

HOW TO USE THE QUARTERDECK Q/FAX (Fax On Demand) SERVICE

   1. Call Q/FAX at 1.800.371.4566 or 573.499.4556.

   2. Choose option <1> if you are familiar with Q/FAX or choose option <2>
to receive an explanation of Q/FAX.

   3. Having chosen <1> from the initial menu, choose option <1> from the
next menu to order a catalog of faxable documents or option <2> to
enter the number of a document to order.

If you select option <1>, choose the desired catalog.

          <1> All Quarterdeck Utility products
<2> All Quarterdeck Internet products (including Procomm)

If you select option <2>, choose the desired document by entering
the document number followed by a pound sign (#) or the pound sign
       alone to end document selection.

Now choose option <1> to confirm your choices and continue or option
<2> to start the selection process over.

   4. Enter the phone number of your fax machine or modem (area code + phone
number) where you wish the documents sent.

   5. Choose option <1> to enter your name or option <2> to enter a phone
number to appear on the fax cover sheet.

Option <1> allows the numeric key pad to be used as a typewriter. Each
number on the keypad corresponds to three letters (e.g., the number 2
has the letters ABC). To choose the first letter, press the
corresponding number once; to choose the second letter, quickly press
the corresponding number twice; to choose the third letter, quickly
press the corresponding number three times. For example, since number 2
corresponds to ABC, press 2 for A, press 22 for B, press 222 for C. If
you make an incorrect entry, pressing the star (*) will backspace one
character. To enter special characters not found on a telephone keypad,
press 1 and you will be prompted for the special character. When
complete, enter the pound sign (#) to end character selection. The
system will then verify your entries.

Option <2> allows you to add a phone number to appear on the cover
sheet. Enter a number code (e.g., your office extension) followed by
the pound sign (#) to end.
