SETUP.EXE _SETUP.DLL SETUP.INS INST32I.EX_ _SETUP32.LIB SETUP.BMP TMPANEL.EXE TMHELP.HLP READMENT.TXT Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse\appsets directory. *.PRX (These are all of the sample application sets.) Setup copies the following file to the c:\kmouse\startup directory. KMWAPS32.EXE Setup copies the following files to the c:\windows\system directory. EXM95.VXD SHW95DLL.DLL EXSHOW95.EXE EXSHOW.EXE CTL3D32.DLL Setup copies the following files to the c:\windows\system\viewers directory. VS_KML.DLL Setup copies the following files to the c:\windows\system\INF (hidden) directory. EXM95.INF Setup creates a new KENSING.PRB in the c:\windows directory (if no previous version of this file exists). Setup then makes the necessary changes to the Windows 95 Registry, and removes any previous mouse drivers it finds there. Setup then installs the Kensington MouseWorks Control Panel shortcuts in the Start Menu, under Programs. WHAT GOES WHERE, WINDOWS NT, STANDARD INSTALL -------------------------------------------------- Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse directory. SETUP.EXE _SETUP.DLL SETUP.INS INST32I.EX_ _SETUP32.LIB SETUP.BMP TMPANEL.EXE TMHELP.HLP READMENT.TXT Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse\appsets directory. *.PRX (These are all of the sample application sets.) Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse directory: SETUP.EXE _SETUP.DLL SETUP.INS INST16.EX_ _SETUP.LIB SETUP.BMP EXPANEL.EXE TMHELP.HLP README31.TXT Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse\appsets directory. *.PRX (These are all of the sample application sets.) Setup copies the following files to the c:\kmouse\startup directory. KMWAPS16.EXE 2. Setup copies the following files to the c:\windows\system directory: EXMOUSE.DRV EXVKD.386 EXVMD.386 EXSHOW.EXE EXMDLL.DLL OEMnnnn.INF KENSING.PRB (If no previous version exists.) CTL3DV2.DLL 3. If you request that an icon be installed, Setup then installs an icon for the Control Panel into the specified group. Setup then backs up the SETUP.INF file to SETUP.BAK, and modifies SETUP.INF to include the Kensington input device in the list of input devices. 4. Setup makes the following changes to the SYSTEM.INI file: Creates a [Kensington] section to store the information needed to uninstall. Makes the following changes to the following sections. [boot] mouse=exmouse.drv [386Enh] Mouse=EXVMD.386 Keyboard=EXVKD.386 [boot.description] mouse.drv.desc=Kensington Mouse 5. If you request that setup also install drivers for DOS, the following files are copied to the to the c:\kmouse directory: CONTROL.EXE MOUSE.COM TEST.EXE CPQBFIX.COM 6. If you request that setup also install drivers for DOS, Setup will back up your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files and make the following changes to these files: - comment out all previously installed mouse drivers. - add the c:\kmouse directory to any Path statement. - insert the line that loads our driver. - (optionally) insert the command to load the DOS Control Panel during each boot. - (optionally) install the Compaq Ballpoint fix.
